Benelli M2 Field

Description

The Benelli M2 Field is a semi-automatic shotgun designed for field use and built around Benelli’s established inertia-driven operating system. Its configuration is suited to traditional hunting applications where reliability, manageable handling, and straightforward operation are important considerations.

A key feature of the M2 Field is its inertia-driven action, which uses the shotgun’s recoil energy to cycle the action without relying on a conventional gas-operated system. This design contributes to a relatively clean operating system and a straightforward mechanical layout. The shotgun also incorporates Benelli’s ComforTech stock system on applicable configurations, designed to help manage felt recoil and improve shooting comfort.

The M2 Field is available in configurations intended for different hunting environments, with options varying by barrel length, chambering, finish, and stock configuration. Its overall design emphasizes practical handling in the field, while the semi-automatic action allows follow-up shots without manually cycling the action between shots.

For hunters researching semi-automatic shotguns, relevant specifications to compare include gauge, chamber length, barrel length, choke configuration, overall weight, stock dimensions, and available finishes. Local firearm regulations, licensing requirements, safe-storage rules, and permitted uses should also be checked before purchase or use.

Overall, the Benelli M2 Field represents a field-oriented semi-automatic shotgun platform combining an inertia-driven action with a conventional hunting-oriented configuration.
